Juventus planning raid for Gilberto Silva
The Daily Mirrior has written a rather flimsy story about Juventus preparing a £4 million bid for Gilberto Silva. The Brazilian midfielder has been on The Old Lady's radar for sometime now and of course Arsenal fans always get worried when transfer speculation involves a 30+ year old player because of Wenger's strict contract policy for geriatric players. But Gilberto is way to important to the team to sell on, especially at this stage of the season.
However the rumours linking us with Lassana Diarra have resurfaced again this morning and the Frenchman is the ideal replacement for the 30 year old. If, and it's a very big 'If', Diarra were to sign for Arsenal you could see Gilberto perhaps leaving Arsenal next season. But for now we reckon he'll stay a Gunner.
